# Build a JV page that stops swipe emails · Vendor Runbook

For vendors recruiting partners

## Build a JV page so affiliates stop asking you for swipes

The network approved the product, and affiliates still email you for the swipe file.

The listing can be live and still send promoters away, because it has no swipes, no tracking link and no commission written down. Host one seller page with the commission, the tracking link, the swipes, a short FAQ and a support email, then paste that address into the network listing.

On ClickBank, that address goes in the tools URL field. A JVZoo launch stores the same address on the calendar row.

[Add the Affiliate Tools URL](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535196-how-do-i-add-or-update-my-clickbank-affiliate-marketplace-listing)

The listing fields, the commission range and the calendar row come from each company's help pages and blog. What affiliates skip when the creative is missing comes from a public thread. [How we research affiliate networks](/methodology) separates those two kinds of sources.

### What a JV page is

[ClickBank's branding article](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535195-how-do-i-create-branding-and-marketing-content-for-potential-affiliates) describes an affiliate tools page as a webpage the seller creates to give affiliates information and branding content. Affiliates open that page through the ClickBank Affiliate Marketplace.

[JVZoo's blog](https://blog.jvzoo.com/the-page-that-converts-affiliates-into-partners/) says the most important feature of the JV page is that it must convert affiliates into partners. The readers are people who will email their list, buy ads, or send the offer to their subscribers. A media buyer uses the page to decide whether the offer is worth a test.

Finding those partners is a separate job. Once the page exists, follow the recruiting steps in [how to get affiliates to promote your product](/best#choose).

### What affiliates look for in the first minute

Commission comes before the download folder. [ClickBank's article on attracting affiliates](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535199-how-do-i-attract-clickbank-affiliates-to-promote-my-products) says they are more likely to promote when the commission is between 50% and 75%. Put your price and that rate into the [per-sale fee calculator](/compare/affiliate-network-fee-calculator-what-a-vendor-keeps-per-sale) so you can see what you keep after the network fee.

The creative has to be ready to paste. The branding article says to give affiliates the exact banner code, because many people would rather copy HTML than edit it. The same guidance asks for email swipes and text ads.

An empty folder is a reason to leave. In a [long-running ClickBank thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Affiliatemarketing/comments/f7bgpo/question%5Ffor%5Fclickbank%5Fproduct%5Fvendors/), affiliates say they skip an offer that has no support page and no ready creative. They want the seller to supply the ads, and a blank page reads as a seller who put in little effort.

They also look for a person to email, and on a launch they look for the date.

### A JV page template, section by section

Neither ClickBank nor JVZoo publishes a file you can download and fill in. Build the page from the sections their docs name, and host it yourself.

#### At the top of the page

* The offer name.
* The commission, using the rate range above.
* The launch window, when the offer has a date.
* A support email.
* A form where affiliates leave an email. JVZoo's blog calls collecting those addresses a core job of the page, so you can send launch-week updates.

#### The files they can paste

The same branding guidance asks for the promo files affiliates can place without rebuilding them.

* Email swipes.
* Text ads.
* Banners, with HTML a partner can copy onto their site.
* Videos, product images, or links to them.
* Keywords, niche tips, article examples and testimonials.

#### The rules on the same page

That article also calls for an FAQ, an earnings disclaimer and an anti-spam policy. ClickBank strongly recommends the disclaimer so any income line in a swipe is framed as an estimate. The anti-spam line is the one that says you will not tolerate affiliates who promote through illegal or unethical techniques.

### Where the ClickBank affiliate page URL goes

On ClickBank, the affiliate page is that hosted tools page, and the listing editor has a field for its address. [The listing article](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535196-how-do-i-add-or-update-my-clickbank-affiliate-marketplace-listing) says the offer title and description are required. The Affiliate Tools URL, the marketplace image, the affiliate support email and a Telegram username are optional. ClickBank urges sellers to fill those in.

[ClickBank's article for affiliates](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535295-how-can-i-get-images-videos-and-other-marketing-materials-from-a-seller) says those tools pages are often the main place they find collateral and other promo details. They reach yours from the Affiliate Tools control on the marketplace listing, after you have saved the URL.

Marketplace changes appear in the affiliate marketplace within 24 hours.

Affiliates test the tracking link because of the credit window. [The HopLink guide](https://support.clickbank.com/en/articles/10535278-hoplinks-guide) says that if a customer buys within 60 days of clicking a HopLink, the referring affiliate is credited for the sale. Approval timing and the compliance review are in the [ClickBank vendor review](/reviews/clickbank).

### JVZoo: put the JV page on the launch calendar

[JVZoo's launch calendar tutorial](https://blog.jvzoo.com/how-to-use-jvzoo-launch-calendar/) says the row asks for the product name, the launch date and time, the price, the commission rate, the sales-page URL and the JV-page URL. Saving that row leaves compliance as its own step. The product still has to pass review before partners can sell it. Fees and launch timing are in the [JVZoo vendor review](/reviews/jvzoo).

The partner-page post says to start recruiting, and to build this page, at least 30 days before launch day. It also says most affiliates will want your swipes, at least as a base for their own mailings. Have those swipes on the page before you reserve the calendar row.

[ClickBank vs JVZoo for vendors](/compare/clickbank-vs-jvzoo) compares a marketplace listing, which stores a tools URL, with a dated launch, which stores a JV-page URL on the calendar row.

### What makes affiliates close the tab

A swipe that names an income figure still needs that earnings disclaimer, so the figure stays an estimate.

Promoters who only receive the buyer pitch still have to hunt for the commission. Put that rate on the page they open from the marketplace.

If you publish while the tools URL is empty and the listing later stops showing, ClickBank says to try adding that page, or to make the listing copy more descriptive. Save the URL, then let the update window pass before you mail the marketplace link.

### Paste the URL, then tell partners

I'd paste the address into the ClickBank tools URL field the day the page goes live, and I'd wait out the listing update before sending partners the marketplace link.
