Head-to-head
Digistore24 vs JVZoo: which network should sell your offer?
Pick Digistore24 if you sell into the US and the EU and want one merchant of record to run checkout, file sales tax and VAT, and pay affiliates from the same stack; pick JVZoo if you run a partner-heavy digital launch on your own Stripe or PayPal, want a 5% platform fee, and plan around JV contests, leaderboards and profit splits.
Quick answer
JVZoo is our top pick for most people. The launch platform for digital products and software sold through affiliate partners and launch contests, taking 5% of each sale with your own Stripe or PayPal behind the checkout.
- Digistore24. Best for Vendors selling into the US and EU who want tax and VAT handled with no setup or monthly fee.
- JVZoo. Best for Digital product and software launches built around JV partners, leaderboards, and fast listing.
Side by side
Digistore24
- Best for
- Vendors selling into the US and EU who want tax and VAT handled with no setup or monthly fee
- Vendor fees
- No setup or monthly fee. Transaction fee starting at 2.9% + $1 per sale; the vendor says the final rate may vary by product type, traffic source and sales volume. Payout fees $2.50 ACH, $40 international wire.
- The catch
- The headline rate is a floor, not a quote. A nutra offer on paid traffic should expect to negotiate its real rate, and that number is not public.
JVZoo
- Best for
- Digital product and software launches built around JV partners, leaderboards, and fast listing
- Vendor fees
- No setup or monthly fee. 5% platform fee per sale when using your own Stripe or PayPal; 8.5% per sale when using JVZoo payment processing.
- The catch
- It is a launch platform first. A physical supplement offer looking for evergreen paid-traffic affiliates will find a thinner crowd here than on the networks above it.
JVZoo vs Digistore24 for a launch
You have a course, a plugin or a software tool ready, a list of JV partners you can email, and two networks left on the shortlist. Most pages comparing Digistore24 and JVZoo are written for affiliates picking an offer. This one is for the product owner deciding where the launch lives.
The two are built for different jobs. Digistore24 sells an all-in stack: it is the merchant of record in the EU and the US, runs the checkout with order bumps and one-click upsells, handles sales tax and VAT in 180 countries, and pays your affiliates. JVZoo is an affiliate and launch platform that sits on top of a payment processor you connect yourself, usually Stripe or PayPal, and takes 5% of each sale for the platform and the affiliate management.
The facts below come from each network's own pricing page, FAQ, features page and help center, read in October 2026, and from public threads where vendors describe launching on these networks. We did not run a launch on either one. How we research network fees explains the method.
The differences in one table
| Digistore24 | JVZoo | |
|---|---|---|
| Takes the payment | Digistore24 | Your processor |
| Per-sale fee | From 2.9% + $1 | 5% or 8.5% |
| Fixed fees | None | None |
| Sales tax and VAT | Filed for you | Your setup |
| Money held | 10% for 60 days | 30 days |
| Affiliates (own count) | 125,000+ | 1.2 million+ |
| Launch tools | Bumps, upsells | Contests, JV splits |
Two cells need context. Digistore24's 2.9% + $1 is a starting rate: its pricing page says the final rate depends on product type, traffic source and sales volume, and the help center for Digistore24 Inc., its US entity, lists a regular margin of 7.9% + $1 per sale for all products. JVZoo's 5% applies when you bring your own processor, and 8.5% is the rate when JVZoo's payment processing takes the payment instead.
The affiliate counts are each network's own figure, counted its own way. They tell you how big the pool claims to be, which is a different number from how many of those people will mail for your launch.

Pricing compared on a $97 sale
Take a $97 front-end at 50% affiliate commission. JVZoo publishes enough to work the whole sale through. Its FAQ example is a $100 sale at 50%: the affiliate earns $50, JVZoo takes $5 and the vendor nets $45. So the commission is paid on the full price and the platform fee comes out of the vendor's half.
| $97 sale, 50% | JVZoo own | JVZoo pay |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | $4.85 | $8.25 |
| Affiliate gets | $48.50 | $48.50 |
| Vendor keeps | $43.65 | $40.25 |
"JVZoo own" is the 5% rate on your own Stripe or PayPal, and the $43.65 is before that processor charges its own fee on the $97. "JVZoo pay" is the 8.5% processing rate.
Digistore24 gets a narrower row. At its advertised 2.9% + $1 floor, the platform fee on $97 is $3.81. At the 7.9% + $1 its US help center lists as the regular margin, it is $8.66. Digistore24 does not publish whether the affiliate's 50% is worked out on the full price or after its fee, so we do not print a vendor-keeps figure for it. Your contracted rate also only becomes known once you apply and the product is set up, which makes an exact side-by-side impossible before onboarding.
Payout costs differ as well. Digistore24 pays weekly, up to four times a month, charges $2.50 per ACH payout and $40 per international wire, and keeps 10% of your earnings in your account for 60 days as a security deposit. JVZoo on your own processor deposits revenue into that account after its 30-day refund period, with a $100 minimum before the first payout. Full fee lists are on the Digistore24 pricing breakdown and the JVZoo pricing breakdown.
Who owns the tax and the chargeback
On Digistore24 the buyer pays Digistore24, which is the merchant of record in the EU and the US. That role carries the paperwork a seller would otherwise do: collecting and remitting sales tax and VAT in 180 countries, running the checkout and paying the affiliates. For a vendor whose buyers are spread across Europe, that is the strongest single reason to choose it.
JVZoo's default path is your own Stripe or PayPal. The processor holds the merchant account, so refunds and disputes land there under that processor's rules, and the account's standing is yours to protect. The JVZoo FAQ we read sets out fees and payout timing for this path without saying it files sales tax or VAT for you, so a seller using it should plan tax with an accountant or ask JVZoo before launch. The 8.5% JVZoo processing route is the option for a vendor who would rather not use their own processor.
JVZoo or Digistore24 for vendors running a launch
JVZoo is built around the launch event. Its features page lists JV Profit Sharing, which pays JV partners per transaction, dime-sale countdowns, recurring memberships and automatic affiliate payments through JVZooPay. You can list unlimited products from one account at no listing cost, so a front-end, its upsells and a later product all sit under one login. The FAQ says a new product is visible to affiliates as soon as it goes live, and that affiliate momentum usually builds within 2 to 4 weeks of launch once there is conversion data to show.
Digistore24's strength sits on the checkout side. Order bumps, one-click upsells and split testing are included in the transaction fee, the marketplace lists more than 10,000 offers, and affiliates get a 180-day cookie. A vendor running an evergreen funnel after the launch gets more from that stack than from a leaderboard.
Vendor threads add one caution that applies to both. A seller of design templates on JVZoo said sales started small and snowballed once affiliates stacked bonuses on top, which is how JVZoo launches are usually won. Another thread put the limit plainly: listing on these networks helps, it is not set and forget, and the networks will not sell the product for you. Budget your recruiting time whichever you pick.
If neither fits, Digistore24 alternatives and JVZoo alternatives sort the other networks by the problem each one solves. ClickBank vs JVZoo for vendors and Digistore24 vs CopeCart cover the neighbouring pairs.
